I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in drawing, from the University of Regina in 2006. After graduating I focused on my art and improving my skills. I learned digital art and worked with Photoshop and Corel Painter. By using a tablet I was able to create digital art fluidly.
In 2008 I furthered my education by getting my Advanced Web Design Certificate from Sessions Online School of Design, finishing in late 2009. This allowed me to work with programs like Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks, and more. I have since worked on web design and focused on those skills. I currently work as a graphic designer, using CorelDraw.
I also created my own company in 2008, Holly Edwards Art. With my company I have moved away from creating fantasy art, although I still enjoy it. I have been working on jewelry and web designs.
I am influenced by a lot of things. I find other artists to be a huge inspiration, they allow you to challenge yourself, your skills and come up with new ideas. Mythology and fairytales are a great foundation, which I recommend learning about if you love fantasy art, and is something anyone can find inspiration in. I am inspired by my friends and family to improve and push myself to the next level.
My main goals for the future are to concentrate on my career. I want to make my web design, jewelry and art into a career.
